Course Overview

Learn the basics of Maya through the animator’s lens. Beginner animators can learn vital software concepts such as creating projects, understanding workspace, using autokey keyframing, hotkeys, graph editor editing, tangents, curve cycling, playblasting and scene management as it relates to the animators workflow.   Animation exercises will be the classic bouncing ball and a couple of fun variations (ball with short tail and ball with long tail).  Using simple rigs like these will help students quickly gain confidence with animation basics and Maya animation tool sets.
